Given a probabilistic choice function, we derive a class of linear programming problems corresponding to it. We then provide an alternative characterization for rationalizability of the probabilistic choice function as a requirement that has to be satisfied by the solutions of this class of linear programming problems. We argue that our characterization could be roughly interpreted as requiring the existence of a probability assignment corresponding to each alternative over its possible upper contour sets. We also provide a simple generalization of our result by considering the possibility of restricting the domain of preferences in a particular way.
