Intellectual debates on international trade and its resultant gains on development have been moving fast along with the pace of global integration. As it exposes the economy towards various odd impediments to the external, the current of anti-globalisation move are also thriving fast across the world, especially among the practitioners. This part, anecdotal evidences suggest that gains from trade and distribution of such gains among various sections, regions, population and segments have not been uniform across countries in reality. The impact on inequality, informal sector, employment and factor share are far more ambiguous. Interaction of insights appearing out of such intellectual discourse for the practitioners and the current strategies and practices deployed by countries all over the world facing the realities seems to be immensely important for the advancement of the understanding and practices to address these issues.

The workshop aims to bring scholars and practitioners for in-depth discussions on the issues. This will house academic papers for detailed discussion, giving equal emphasis on both theoretical and empirical issues.
